Suck it up, Buttercup

I'm ba-ack.

We are moved in and settled and (mostly) unpacked. Time to get back on the wagon. My muffin top is growing again. It is just all too easy to slip back into bad habits. How quickly the weight comes back on!

I feel a whine coming on:

  • I hate being hungry. I hate feeling like all I do is think about food. Tracking my food is a pain, but it seems to be the only thing that works.
  • I must either do the work, or quit complaining about how I feel and look.
  • My shirt didn't shrink THAT much from going through the dryer.
I just have to suck it up. My first step was logging back on to The Daily Plate. I tracked my food today.
My next step is to hide the tiny chocolate bars that are sitting in my kitchen. I was an idiot and fell for the 50% off Halloween candy at the grocery store yesterday.

Ok, here we go again......


  1. I understand exactly! It is so difficult to get back going {and not be cranky about it! LOL} :)

  2. Ugh, that's exactly why I quit following the Weight Watchers strategies ~ I couldn't get away from thinking about food! I much prefer just going a couple days a week without ANY food ~ yeah, there's hunger pangs, but it's actually a lot easier than it sounds, especially once it gets to be a habit.

    Which it is NOT for me anymore.

    Must get back to what works for ME, too, I guess!! ;)

    We can do this!!

  3. oh yes, those tiny itty bitty candy bars. they are EVIL! they look small and cute but they're NOT! THEY'RE EVIL! i'm just sayin. i got real mad at them myself. haha. glad you're back at it! i am too. :)
